Pulse is now seeking to recruit a band 6 Hand Occupational therapist to join an innovative NHS trust in Stevenage, Hertfordshire. This position offers full-time or part-time hours for an ongoing period.
To provide specialised assessment and treatment for hand therapy patients with complex needs and expert advice, guidance and information to health and social care professionals, carers, relatives, and other non-professionals. The post holder will be responsible for own caseload and a defined service area, working without direct supervision. Supervision occurs at regular one to one sessions with the line manager, formal training, clinical reasoning sessions, peer review, case conferences and reflective practise.
Duties will include:
1. Hand therapy for MSK outpatients
2. Splinting
3. Treating for repetitive strain injury
4. Treating symptoms of a chronic illness
5. Test and measure patient’s movements
Pay rates shown for this role are for umbrella pay method, PAYE equivalent pay will be £16 – £21 per hour.
