Finance Manager
Hybrid/Remote
Location: Haywards Heath
Claimont Health is seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join on a permanent basis.
This role oversees all aspects of financial management, including management accounts, internal controls, year-end processes, and financial policies. The goal is to ensure KPIs and contract goals are met, with robust, timely financial reporting. Working closely with the CEO, the post-holder will ensure the group's financial viability and sustainability.
This is a hands-on, standalone role requiring a proactive, analytical mindset.
Key Responsibilities Include:
1. Financial Management
* Lead and manage the Claimont Group's financial operations aligned with our vision, mission, and values.
* Ensure compliance with legal requirements across all accounting processes, internal controls, Companies House, HMRC, and pension regulations, implementing best practices.
* Collaborate with colleagues to develop and execute short-, medium-, and long-term financial strategies.
* Present financial data and performance at Finance and Investment meetings regularly.
* Report high-level financial data at Board meetings to ensure understanding of performance.
1. Budget Management and Accounting
* Own the annual budget setting process, ensuring alignment with the strategic business plan.
* Support financial planning and control, developing comprehensive models for income, expenditure, balance sheet, and cash flow forecasts.
* Maintain and develop accounting systems to provide relevant information to senior leaders and ensure efficient financial practices supporting forecasting and planning.
Contract Management
* Oversee business contracts ensuring their viability.
* Review contracts financially, ensuring due diligence for TUPE and acquisitions.
* Guide contract execution for smooth onboarding.
* Provide commercial advice on business viability.
Payroll
* Manage monthly payroll processes accurately and in compliance with contracts and legislation.
* Ensure pension regulations and auto-enrollment are properly managed.
Experience / Qualifications:
* At least 5 years of professional accounting experience.
* Fully qualified, preferably CIMA or equivalent.
* Experience with due diligence in TUPE and acquisitions.
* Experience in healthcare or similar sectors.
* Knowledge of financial contract review and sector-specific requirements.
* Flexible and adaptable to changing business objectives.
* Effective communicator with empathy, capable of simplifying complex processes.
* Experience managing multiple teams.
