As an Industry Settlements Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the industry settlement processes within the UK energy market. This role requires a deep understanding of energy market operations, regulatory compliance, and exceptional analytical and leadership skills. What We Need from Yü Here's a taste of what you'll be doing: Settlements Management: Manage end-to-end industry settlement processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in accordance with industry codes and regulations. Monitor and analyse settlement data to identify discrepancies, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with internal teams to streamline processes and optimize settlement performance. Lead a team of Settlement advisors to help with settlement performance and reduce our imbalance exposure. Manage meter read performance across the whole portfolio (NHH, HH and Gas), minimising our long-term unread meters. Responsible for the Gas reconciliation for the Yu Energy Shipper. This includes ensuring all metering and read data is processed with industry timelines, as well as ensuring billing accuracy. Be a key part of the transition to Market Wide Half Hourly Settlement, ensuring the set up and implementation of new Settlement processes that related to the programme. Regulatory Compliance: Stay abreast of regulatory changes and industry developments related to settlements and ensure compliance with relevant codes and regulations. Provide guidance to the team on regulatory requirements and changes impacting settlement activities Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders, including Ofgem, Elexon, and other market participants. Act as the main point of contact for settlement-related queries and escalations. Reporting and Analysis: Generate and present regular reports on settlement performance, highlighting key metrics and areas for improvement. Utilise data analytics tools to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process enhancements. Proven experience in energy settlements within the UK market. In-depth knowledge of industry codes, regulations, and market processes. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
