Overview
The Technician will be responsible for the Operation and Maintenance of PV solar equipment systems in the UK with the support of the Team Leader.
Responsibilities
* Undertake scheduled preventative maintenance and servicing
* Carry out corrective maintenance; fault finding, troubleshooting and repair on all solar PV systems which will include mechanical and electrical diagnosis on Power Inverters
* Proactive repair or component replacement to prevent complete failure or system downtime ensuring the highest level of Solar Plant availability
* Provide out of hours and weekend response
* Ensure compliance with all health and safety requirements
* Assist in providing solutions to the Technical Manager
* Conduct training lessons to enhance other employee\'s technical knowledge
* Report all maintenance works carried out using computer based service reporting procedures
Qualifications
* Service Engineer with Solar PV background
* Troubleshooting and Fault Finding experience
* Knowledge of Power Inverters
* Computer skills; word processing, spreadsheets, email, management and reporting systems, including the use of diagnostic and troubleshooting tools
* Willing to work overtime on weekends, bank holidays and on short notice
* Valid UK driver\'s license and acceptable driving record
