Job overview We are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Research Nurse to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a leading role in the delivery of innovative commercial and non-commercial vascular research studies investigating novel treatments and therapies. You will manage and coordinate a portfolio of clinical research studies, taking responsibility for participant recruitment, study delivery, patient monitoring, data collection, and regulatory compliance. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, sponsors, and principal investigators, you will ensure studies are conducted to the highest standards of patient care, research governance, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP). This role is ideal for a highly organised and proactive registered nurse with experience in clinical research and a passion for improving patient outcomes through research who is able to work well in a team as well as autonomously. You will contribute to the development of future research within the department while supporting education, training, and evidence-based practice across the wider clinical team. Advert Deliver high-quality clinical care to participants involved in cardiovascular clinical research studies. Coordinate and manage commercial and non-commercial clinical trials, including study set ups and close down. Screen, recruit, consent, and monitor research participants. Undertake study-related clinical procedures including venepuncture, cannulation, haemodynamic assessments, ultrasound measurements, and biological sample collection/processing. Maintain accurate clinical and research documentation, ensuring timely and high-quality data collection and entry into study databases and case report forms. Act as a key point of contact for participants, investigators, sponsors, and the multidisciplinary team, ensuring effective communication throughout the research process. Monitor participant safety, identify and report adverse events and SUSARs in line with Trust policies and study requirements.
