The Accountant will report into the Finance Manager and will be a dynamic individual with strong attention to detail. The successful Accountant would need to be customer centric and being comfortable with being customer facing.
This role is a hybrid role based in Uxbridge.
Accountant Responsibilities:
1. To undertake month end activities to enable the production of the monthly management accounts including processing of invoices/accruals/prepayments, bank postings, FX and maintenance of control accounts etc.
2. Completing bank reconciliations.
3. Responsible for Concur administration and training.
4. Posting payroll for the UK and overseas entities.
5. Maintaining Company car allowance / car leasing and headcount reports.
6. Expenses and Supplier payment run.
7. Processing all expenses; including Barclaycard, personal expenses and expenses submitted via Concur and providing information for overseas payroll.
8. Posting transactions for B4B bank cards and topping up as needed.
9. Overall responsibility for Fixed Assets, including calculations of depreciation/disposals and bookkeeping.
10. To undertake year-end activities for the production of the annual statutory accounts. and completion of routine audit queries.
11. Preparation of financial data/reports and supporting analysis, such as payment transparency reporting.
12. Completion of balance sheet reviews.
13. Assist with preparation and completion of documents for legal entities.
14. Resolving errors in financial reports and correcting faulty reporting methods.
Undertake ad hoc tasks as required.
Ideal Accountant Qualifications:
15. Newly qualified Chartered Accountant (CIMA or ACCA)
16. Minimum of 5 years working in an operational finance department
17. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
18. Strong financial control and process improvement experience including attention to detail
19. Knowledge of Sun systems accounting package would be beneficial
20. Knowledge of Concur Invoice and Expense would be beneficial
