About the role What you will be doing We are looking for a Solicitor or Legal Executive with at least 2 years’ PQE or similar to join our Travel Litigation Department in our Manchester office. In this role, every day will be a unique and exciting challenge that will include: Running a caseload of pre-litigation and litigated accidents abroad cases Ensuring that cases are progressed effectively, meeting defined deadlines, and complying with precedents and documents in our case management system Providing a high level of client care, respect and integrity in the management and progression of client’s cases Obtaining medical evidence when required and reviewing and providing advice on it Collating and reviewing documentation and evidence Managing all aspects of cases including time recording, billing and debtor management in order to achieve personal fee and chargeable time targets Actively engaging in Business Development to ensure high visibility of the department and wider company Visit our client stories page to see the cases you’ll be working on. In the role you will need: Experience in a similar role and should be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the Personal Injury and Travel Litigation markets. A sound understanding of the relevant law. A strong commercial awareness. Ability to demonstrate proficiency in all aspects of a case from beginning to end. Excellent communication skills, demonstrated by an ability to communicate accurately, clearly, and concisely, both verbally and in writing. Be able to demonstrate high client care/service skills. It is desired that you have: Ability to work in and contribute to a team environment. Excellent organisation skills and ability prioritise a workload effectively. Ability to build and maintain good working relationships. Solid experience in using a variety of IT packages. Use of Proclaim, Case Management System, an advantage.
