Teaching Assistant - SEN
Pay Rate : £12.50 - £13 per hour
Location : Preston

We are currently recruiting Special Needs Assistants qualified to provide support for special educational needs in primary education throughout Preston, with an hourly rate ranging from £12.50 to £13 per hour. These roles encompass a range of SEN needs, including Autism, ADHD, behavioural challenges, cognitive delay, global delay, Down syndrome, and hearing impairments.

The right candidate will be working with young people and children alongside the Teachers with a range of Special Education Needs: SEMH, SLD, Autism and ADHD. The school is looking for a confident, creative and resilient behaviour mentor that can build positive learning relationships with young people.
Your basic requirements to get cleared for this role:

1. Experience working with SEN pupils
2. Managing challenging behaviour and supporting the class teacher
3. Ability to assist teachers and other staff to create a positive learning environment for children with social, emotional and mental health needs
4. Understanding of autism
5. 2 professional references to reference your recent work with SEN children
6. Strong work ethic and positive attitude
7. Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to make one
8. Eligibility to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available)

15. Work on a 1:1 or small group basis with children who have Special Educational Needs
16. Lesson/work planning for the students you are working with

18. Report back to parents and teachers regarding the students progress
19. Supporting children's physical, social and emotional well-being
20. Completion of daily records for pupils
21. Classroom preparation for the following school day
