Peace Recruitment Services is working in partnership with a major supplier of fabrication machinery and machine tools to the metalworking industry to recruit an experienced Blasting Technician (Rope Access) for a long-term offshore project.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled industrial blasting technician with rope access experience to join a high-profile project in the UK offshore sector.
Key Responsibilities Perform abrasive blasting / UHP blasting and paint & coatings application on:
Decks, piping, structural steel, vessels, and tanks (internal & external)
Apply coatings and carry out surface preparation to industry standards
Operate power tools and robotic equipment in line with company safety policies
Prepare, operate, and inspect blast pots, spray pots, and pumps
Ensure sufficient materials are staged on site for daily operations
Follow all health & safety policies and procedures
Communicate professionally with clients and site teams
Adapt to changing work demands and demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement
Essential Requirements IRATA Rope Access Certification (minimum Level 2 preferred, Level 1 considered) from Industrial Rope Access Trade Association
Proven experience as a Blasting Technician, Industrial Blaster, or similar role
Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude with troubleshooting skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Familiarity with diagnostic tools and repair equipment (advantageous)
