Consultant in Dermatology

The Department of Dermatology at St George's Hospital is seeking a consultant dermatologist.
Applicants should be on the GMC Specialist Register or within six months of their expected date of receipt of a CCT at the time of the interview.

Main duties of the job
We are looking for a candidate who will excel clinically and academically within a friendly and busy department. The postholder will be working alongside other consultants in a supportive and dynamic environment.
The successful applicant will join a team of 11 consultants at St George's Hospital, including the satellite Queen Mary's Roehampton and Nelson Hospital sites. The successful applicant will be encouraged to develop areas of interest or research within the department.

Person Specification
Education
* Certificate of completion of training (CCT) in Dermatology or within 6 months; or equivalent (Certificate of Eligibility for Specialist registration -CESR or European Community Rights) (A)
Skills
* Able to run clinics and services efficiently and smoothly
* Enthusiasm and expertise in Undergraduate and Postgraduate teaching
* An interest in clinical research
Experience
* Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required for gaining UK CCT in dermatology
* Experience of managing patients with general dermatology and skin cancer screening
Personal
* Ability to work in a team
* Caring attitude towards patients
