Boston Bar are seeking a dedicated and skilled Deputy General Manager to join our team in a dynamic restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the management team, ensuring the smooth operation of food and drink preparation and production processes. This position requires strong leadership abilities, administrative expertise, and a commitment to food and drink safety standards. The Deputy General Manager will assist in overseeing daily operations while fostering a positive team atmosphere.
Duties
* Assist the General Manager in daily operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation and service.
* Supervise FOH and kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to enhance team performance and morale.
* Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen, dining and bar areas.
* Collaborate with the team to develop menus and improve food & drink production processes.
* Monitor inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed to maintain operational efficiency.
* Train new staff members on drink preparation techniques, health & safety protocols, and restaurant policies.
* Handle customer inquiries and feedback professionally to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
* Organise staff meetings, broaching subjects such as ideas for improving service quality and operational efficiency.
Experience
* Previous experience in a restaurant or bar environment is essential, with a focus on high volume service, without compromising on quality.
* Proven leadership skills with experience in team management within a F&B setting.
* Strong understanding of food & drink safety practices and regulations is required.
* Food & drink qualifications or relevant certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
