Role Purpose
The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for the full lifecycle of electrical design activities, supporting production, R&D, procurement, subcontractors, service teams and technical documentation. This role requires strong technical capability, attention to detail and the ability to collaborate across engineering disciplines.
Key Responsibilities
* Produce and check high‑quality electrical drawings and schematics
* Work closely with mechanical and software engineering teams to ensure designs meet customer and project requirements
* Provide technical support to in‑house electricians, subcontract partners, service engineers and end‑users
* Create and maintain technical documentation for machine operation, testing and design
* Liaise with suppliers and purchasing teams regarding component selection and specification
* Travel occasionally to company sites, customer locations and supplier facilities as required
Candidate Profile
* Proven experience in electrical design within an engineering or manufacturing environment
* Qualification in Electrical Engineering (HNC, HND or Degree level desirable)
* Strong understanding of electrical systems, standards and design principles
* Ability to interpret and produce detailed technical documentation
* Effective communicator with strong problem‑solving skills
