Overview
We are in search of an experienced M&E Manager who will oversee the business and its strategic direction in managing the maintenance and operation of mechanical and electrical systems and teams in accordance with our service level agreements, ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with budget and timelines.
Key Responsibilities
* Team Leadership: Oversee M&E teams, which includes managing hiring processes and evaluating performance.
* Building, coaching, and nurturing a high-performing maintenance workforce.
* SLA / Project Management: Direct and assist teams in delivering M&E projects punctually, within budget constraints, and to exceptional standards.
* Technical Oversight: Offer technical direction, address issues, and guarantee compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
* Contract & Procurement: Supervise external contracts related to M&E works, acquire M&E equipment, and manage suppliers.
* Stakeholder Communication: Engage with contractors, clients, and other stakeholders collaboratively.
* Implementing preventative and corrective maintenance strategies.
* Risk Management: Recognize project risks and execute mitigation strategies.
* Quality & Safety: Ensure the quality of M&E installations and compliance with safety protocols.
* Monitoring and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs) to management.
* Assisting in recruitment, training, and succession planning for technical personnel.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Proven track record of managing mechanical and electrical systems.
* Experience in M&E engineering, maintenance, and project delivery.
* Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.
* Familiarity with relevant regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
* Proficiency with management software such as Microsoft Office.
* A degree in either Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services
* Respectful in attitude towards clients, contractors, work colleagues
* Experience working within ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
