Depot Connect International is the leading independent UK service provider for tank transport & depot services. We operate over 80 modern tractor units, and employ circa 300 people within our network of eight depots. We're seeking a Financial Controller to join our team on a 12 month fixed term basis, and play a critical role in managing our Finance and Purchasing team. This role is based at our Redcar office. This is a key position within the company, where you will be ensuring compliance, accurate financial reporting and strong financial controls. Key responsibilities include: Leading the finance and purchasing team, overseeing all accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, payroll and month end processes. Managing budgets, forecasting and financial planning processes. Ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory and tax requirements. Provide financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and business cases. Working with external stakeholders to make sure all external reports are filed on time. About you: Professional accounting qualification (AAT/CIMA/or equivalent). Proven experience in a Financial Controller or similar senior finance role. Excellent leadership and people management skills. Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Proactive, solutions-focused and comfortable working in a fast paced environment. High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel.
