Credit Risk Specialist - 12 Month FTC

We're looking for a Credit Risk Specialist to join a high-performing team shaping credit and affordability strategies for existing customers.
In this role, you'll be part of the first line of defence, developing and optimising lending strategies that balance commercial opportunity with responsible risk management. You'll use your analytical expertise to monitor portfolio performance, identify new lending opportunities, and explore data-driven ways to improve decision-making.
What you'll be doing:
Develop, refine, and execute credit and affordability strategies for existing customer portfolios.
Monitor portfolio performance and MI, ensuring lending remains within risk appetite and supports positive customer outcomes.
Identify and assess new data sources, technologies, and tools to enhance credit decisioning and efficiency.
What you'll bring:
Proven experience in credit risk or portfolio analytics
Essential experience is excellent skills in SAS ideally but open to Python or R
A sharp, data-driven mindset with commercial awareness
Confidence to turn complex analysis into clear, actionable insights
Ideally retail banking background but open to other Financial Services
