We have an exciting opportunity for an Applied Psychologist (level 8b) to join our CORE Mental Health and Crisis & Home Treatment Teams for children, young people and their families in Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin. This post is ideal for HCPC‑registered psychologists with experience working with children and families with complex mental health needs and who are seeking career progression.
The CRHTT offers short‑term interventions and support to children at risk of harm to themselves or others. The CORE Mental Health Team provides short‑ and long‑term interventions for children and young people with mental health difficulties. In this newly developed role you will work across both teams, delivering highly specialist support, supervision and consultation to clinicians and external agencies.
Locations: Crisis team based at Hall Court in Telford; Core Mental Health team based in Shrewsbury, Dawley and Telford.

Professional Registration
* HCPC registration
Qualifications
* Doctorate level training (or equivalent) in applied psychology
* BSc (Hons) in Psychology
* Post‑doctoral training in one or more additional areas of specialised psychological practice
Desirable qualifications
* Additional CPD and training in one or more areas of psychological practice
* Experience or training in therapeutic approaches applicable to children and young people
Experience – Essential
* Substantial experience as a qualified psychologist with autistic individuals experiencing mental health problems, including assessment and clinical interventions for a wide range of presenting problems
* Experience delivering trauma‑informed psychological care
* Experience working with a variety of service‑user groups across the whole lifespan, presenting with a range of mental health concerns of differing severity
Experience – Desirable
* Experience working with children and young people
* Experience providing clinical consultation to other professional staff
* Experience working with high‑risk CYP's
* Experience working in a CRHTT
