The Disputes & Litigation team forms a core part of the firm’s practice, advising on a broad range of civil and commercial disputes, including contentious probate and inheritance disputes.


Position

An opportunity has arisen for a Junior Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join the firm’s Disputes & Litigation team. The role offers exposure to a varied and interesting caseload, covering general civil litigation matters alongside a growing volume of contentious probate and inheritance‑related disputes.

You will be involved in handling cases from initial instruction through to resolution, working closely with experienced colleagues and partners. Matters may include estate and inheritance disputes, claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975, will validity challenges, trust disputes, debt recovery, contractual disputes and other civil litigation matters.

The role will involve drafting correspondence, pleadings, witness statements and court applications, undertaking legal research, reviewing case law and assisting with litigation strategy. You will also support file management, preparation of courtీల bundles and ensuring compliance with procedural deadlines.

You will have विपक्ष and direct contact with clients, requiring a professional, clear and empathetic approach, particularly in sensitive contentious probate matters. The role also involves liaising with counsel, experts and the courts, attending client meetings, and providing timely updates on case progress, with appropriate supervision and mentoring.
