Job Summary
Stitch & Weave are seeking a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation. This position requires strong leadership skills, a commitment to food safety, and a genuine passion for hospitality.
Duties
* Assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations and supervising kitchen staff.
* Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and consistency.
* Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout the kitchen.
* Help develop new menu items and enhance existing recipes.
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
* Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
* Ensure that all kitchen equipment is properly maintained and cleaned.
* Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a restaurant or hospitality environment.
* Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
* Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead by example.
* Proficient in various cooking techniques and cuisines.
* Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
