We’re looking for a Head Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Medivet Wexham.
Our practice offers a small, welcoming environment with a loyal client base and a friendly, down-to-earth atmosphere. As Head Nurse, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of the practice, supporting clinical standards, mentoring colleagues, and delivering exceptional patient care.
Located on the edge of Slough and just a short drive from Windsor, the practice is well connected offering easy access to London and the M25.
This is a full-time role, working Tuesday to Friday, with shifts alternating between 8:30am–6:00pm or 10:00am–7:30pm. You’ll also be part of a 1 in 6 weekend rota at our Medivet Watford 24-hour hospital.

Role Accountabilities

In This Role You Will
* Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
* Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.
* Carry out nurse led appointments and schedule 3 activities.
* Deliver patient monitoring and care.
* Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
* If relevant: Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.
* Dispense and check medication.
* Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
* Hold briefings to engage and co-ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.
Your Skills And Experience
* RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse. Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
* Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
* Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency.
* Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
