In this role, the successful Controls Engineer or similar will be responsible for the installation and integration of Control Systems for Water Treatment Processes. You will also be responsible for the HMI/PLC programming as well as SCADA development, defining and developing both software and hardware requirements, in addition to the troubleshooting and diagnostics of Control Systems. Also, you will be responsible for the commissioning and testing of Control Systems, defining test strategies, ensuring the project meets milestone marks. On top of this, you wil be responsible for panel buildig as well as design development specifications. Finally, you will be responsible for ensuring you are in accordance with compliance and safety, as well as keeping accurate technical documentation, lastly, providing technical advice/support/mentorship to delivery/design/management teams etc....
The ideal Controls Engineer or similar will have strong previous experience in a Controls Engineer role as well as an extensive knowledge of Electrical Systems/Electrical Enngineering, with previous experience in how to simplify complexities. You will hold an 18th edition in addition to an HNC/HND and/or a degree in Electrical/Controls Engineering or a related field. On top of this, you will also hold a full, valid UK driver's license. Ideally, but not essentially, you will have a background in the Water Industry. You will also have a specific knowledge of HMI/PLC Programming and SCADA Development. You will be happy to travel to customer/client sites as and when needed. Finally, you will already hold/be able to obtain Security Clearance.
