We are looking for Clerical Officers to work in Armagh & Craigavon areas for the Southern Trust on a 3-6 months Contract basis.
Location: Armagh & Craigavon areas
Position: Clerical Officer
Pay rate: £11.45- £11.67 per hour
Shifts: Mon- Fri x 37.5 hours

1. 4 GCSE's Grades A-C to include English Language and Maths (or equivalent Qualification) plus 1 year's administrative /clerical experience.
2. 1 year's word processing experience.
3. Experience in using Microsoft packages to include WORD, EXCEL, and OUTLOOK.
4. Experience of operating relevant IT systems e.g. Patient Administration System (PAS), NIECR, Clinical Communication Gateway CCG), Cancer Patient Pathway System (CaPPS)
5. Excellent organisational skills with an ability to prioritise own workload.
6. The ability to work in a challenging and changing environment.
7. The ability to effectively use office admin systems such as diary management and filing systems.
Responsibilities
8. Operate all relevant IT systems e.g. Patient Administration System (PAS), NIECR, Clinical Communication Gateway (CCG), Cancer Patient Pathway System (CaPPS)
9. Use the NIECR e-Triage function to schedule appointments and keep track of patient information.
10. Add patients to lists for outpatient appointments.
11. Schedule first outpatient appointments following guidelines for quick access to cancer treatment, making sure appointments are given in the order patients joined the waiting list.
12. Handle various correspondence tasks according to set procedures.
13. Organize and prioritize daily tasks, reporting any concerns to the manager. Offer advice and information to patients and their families as needed.
14. Manage incoming and outgoing mail, ensuring it gets to the right people promptly.
15. Complete tasks promptly according to agreed-upon standards.
16. Provide administrative support and cover for other staff as needed.
17. Aim to improve the quality and efficiency of services in your area of responsibility.
18. Help train new staff members.
19. Perform any other tasks assigned by the manager.
20. Keep all manual and computerized systems accurate and up-to-date.
21. Create and maintain filing systems as needed.
22. Build good relationships with managers, staff, and the public.
