The Role
To be responsible for a professional and pro-active department administration and to ensure a high standard of accuracy, standards and confidentiality are always upheld, to support the branch network.
Key Accountabilities...
* Administration of the company's fleet of HGVs, vans, cars, and plant equipment to ensure compliance with legislation and best practice.
* Ensure the Transport Compliance Software and other records are kept up to date, to reflect asset location, ownership, status, etc.
* To ensure that all vehicle checks are done daily, any defects reported are actioned and completed within agreed timeframe.
* Manage service providers to ensure vehicles are maintained and repaired in line with legislation and company requirements.
* Assist with the administration of accident and insurance claims management.
* Administration of penalty charge notices & parking fines, including investigation and challenging PCNs and fines to reduce company's costs and charges.
* Perform DVLA licence checks on all new starters and database of current employees' licence checks is up to date.
* Organising transport related dairies
* Liaise with agencies regarding temporary and temp-to-perm driver hire.
* Manage accident and insurance claims.
* Admin support in Booking / scheduling and checking that vehicles have been presented to their planned maintenance inspections on time, including the arrangement of MOT / servicing and repairs for the fleet of vehicles and plant machinery.

Proven experience as an administrator
Self-motivated, organised, and methodical
Good problem-solving skills
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
High level of accuracy and close attention to detail
Good computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel)
Ability to maintain high standards of confidentiality.
Experience as an administrator in a transport/fleet department would be advantageous.
Driving License required due to Head Office location.
