Vision for Education are looking for Teaching Assistants to work in Primary Schools in the areas of Ramsey, March and Wisbech, working with a variety of year groups both generally and on a one-to-one basis. About the role Schools regularly contact us looking for teaching assistant support. Schools are generally looking for teaching assistants to work on a 1-1 or small group basis with children who require additional support. These roles tend to come about with very little notice due to schools taking on a new starter or long term staff absence. Both weekly and longer-term roles are available. Many roles have the possibility of becoming permanent. We are looking for people with a confident approach to building relationships with children, particularly those with SEND. You will need to have a calm and empathetic approach and an understanding that behaviour is a means of communication. A working knowledge of the 'Cambridge Therapeutic Approach' would be beneficial. We are the preferred supplier for schools within the Elliot Foundation Trust and as such we have work to offer within the following schools: Cavalry Primary, March Westwood Primary, March Elm Road Primary, Wisbech Nene and Ramnoth Primary, Wisbech Ramsey Spinning Infants school, Ramsey Ramsey Junior school, Ramsey Requirements To be considered for the role of Teaching Assistant you will: Have some experience or working in a school or similar setting in the last 3 years (6 months minimum) Hold a TA Qualification (desirable but not essential) Have some experience of working with children with SEND Have a genuine passion for working in education Hold a full enhanced DBS clearance Be able to provide two recent references to support your work with children Please note, this is a full time role and access to a car is essential Vision for Education is committed to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults.
