Senior Architect - Newcastle
A leading UK practice is looking for a Senior Architect to play a key role within their Newcastle studio. The organisation delivers large, complex projects across education, healthcare, regeneration, commercial and residential sectors, offering significant scope for high‑level design and technical involvement.
The studio places real value on open design dialogue, shared problem‑solving and cross‑disciplinary collaboration. Senior staff contribute directly to shaping the studio environment, supporting team culture and guiding long‑term development.
The Role
You'll lead elements of the design process from concept through to detailed delivery, coordinating multi‑disciplinary teams and ensuring technical rigour. You'll work closely with clients and contractors, take responsibility for specific work packages, and contribute to decisions around quality, programme and technical solutions. You'll also mentor junior staff and support studio leadership.
What You'll Bring
RIBA Part 3 and ARB registration
Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations and compliance
Experience leading design stages and developing key technical details
Comfortable operating in client‑facing and multi‑disciplinary environments
Ability to support budget awareness and develop financial understanding
