Customer Relationship Manager
Full time, £32,000 - £36,000 per annum, Wigan, WN4 9GD.
Role purpose
The Customer Relationship Manager (CRM) owns the customer relationship acting as a trusted partner rather than a transactional support contact. This strategic account management role focuses on service performance, commercial management, growth, and long‑term retention, working closely with senior stakeholders both internally and externally.
Key Responsibilities
Operating from our flagship HQ in Wigan, this diverse and fast‑paced role spans a wide range of responsibilities, including (but not limited to):
* Strategic account management: manage a portfolio of fulfilment customers with contractual SLAs, build strong relationships with senior customer stakeholders (Ops, Supply Chain, Ecommerce, Finance), act as the escalation point for complex operational or commercial issues.
* Service performance & governance: own SLA performance and service reviews, lead regular operational and performance review meetings, analyse data to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities, drive continuous improvement initiatives across fulfilment, transport, and systems.
* Commercial & contract management: manage contracts, renewals, and pricing discussions, identify and deliver upsell opportunities (additional services, volume growth, new channels), support new business implementations and complex onboardings.
* Internal leadership & coordination: act as the customer advocate internally, coordinate warehouse, transport, IT, finance, and onboarding teams, mentor Customer Relationship Executives where appropriate.
Skills & experience
* Proven experience in account management within fulfilment, logistics, or e‑commerce.
* Strong commercial awareness and contract management experience.
* Comfortable managing senior stakeholders and complex accounts.
* Analytical mindset with strong reporting and problem‑solving skills.
* Confident leading meetings, negotiations, and service reviews.
* Experience managing SLA‑driven service environments.
* A working knowledge of cross‑border trade.
* Full UK driving licence.
