We are currently seeking an Investment Risk Manager within Asset Management.
The purpose of the role of Investment Risk Manager is to support the Senior Risk Officer & Global CRO of HSBC Alternatives with identification, assessment, management, monitoring and mitigation of the risks associated with Alternative Investments through their life cycle. Including risks associated with development of investment products, complex investment fund structures and roles and responsibilities within these structures that can stretch across Asset Management globally.
This role is a great opportunity to accelerate a career in Alternatives Investment Risk with exposure to many Asset classes and sits within a dynamic business environment requiring independent analysis and responsibility to get things done with timeliness and with high quality execution.
The Alternatives HSBC business is in substantial growth mode in the following business areas: Infrastructure Debt, Venture Debt, Private Debt, Private Credit, Private Equity, Real Estate and Hedge Funds.
In this role, you will be responsible for: -
* Investment Risk Analysis of Investment deals, reviewing and challenging Investment Due Diligence and Operational Due Diligence.
* Review and challenge of legal Fund documents for product development.
* Enhancing risk reporting, Risk Governance and developing Risk Frameworks including Responsible Investment Risk Frameworks.
* Supporting the Senior Risk Officer and Global Alternatives CRO.
* Relationship Management between different stakeholders and being able to influence the right behaviour.
To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements: -
* Experience with Alternative asset classes.
* Fundamental technical Risk skills, including Investment Risk.
* Experience with many risk types and display a good understanding of Enterprise Risks.
* Excellent communication and written skills in understanding complex risk matters and delivering key risk points in a concise manner.
* Have a keen interest in the business environment and awareness of potential risks from the regulatory environment and operationally.
The base location for this role will be London and with a hybrid working pattern.
