Job Duties:
* Provide support to special needs students in the classroom
* Assist the teacher in implementing individual education plans
* Help students with personal care needs, including feeding and toileting
* Support students in their social and emotional development
* Help create a positive and inclusive learning environment
Required Qualifications:
* Minimum of GCSEs in English and Maths
* Relevant experience working with special needs children
Experience:
Previous experience in a similar role within an educational setting
Knowledge and Skills:
* Understanding of special educational needs and disabilities
* Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents
* Strong organisational skills and ability to work as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
* First Aid certification
* Makaton or other communication training
Working Conditions:
* Work in a classroom setting
* Potential exposure to challenging behaviours
* Regular interaction with special needs students
