Job Description Senior Associate – Commercial Property Salary: £75,000–£95,000 Bonus Location: Harrow area | Clear route to Head of Department If you’re a Commercial Property solicitor who’s ready to step up, this is a rare chance to join our client in a genuinely senior position with a defined pathway into a Head of Department role. You’ll inherit quality work, have real influence over how the department develops, and be trusted to lead from the front, not just “support” from the sidelines. The Opportunity This role suits someone who enjoys running matters end-to-end, building strong client relationships, and wants a seat at the table when it comes to shaping a team’s future. Our client is looking for a Senior Associate who can combine technical strength with leadership potential and commercial awareness. Key Responsibilities You’ll be responsible for: Managing a varied Commercial Property caseload from instruction through to completion Advising clients clearly and commercially, with a focus on long-term relationships Supporting and mentoring junior fee earners (and stepping into wider leadership as you grow) Contributing to business development and department growth, including networking and referrals Helping drive standards, processes, and consistency across the team What Our Client Is Looking For To be considered, you’ll ideally have: 5 years’ PQE in Commercial Property within a UK law firm Strong experience handling a range of Commercial Property matters, such as: Commercial leases (landlord and tenant) Acquisitions and disposals Refinancing and secured lending support Development matters (desirable) Proven ability to manage files independently with minimal supervision Excellent client care and a confident, professional communication style Leadership potential : mentoring, supervising, or an interest in stepping into management Salary, Location & Working Arrangement Salary: £75,000–£95,000 (dependent on PQE and experience) bonus potential Location: Harrow area (details shared at shortlist stage) Working arrangement: Hybrid working available (typically office-led with flexibility, depending on team needs and seniority) Benefits Alongside hybrid working, you can expect a strong overall package, typically including: Bonus / performance-related incentives Generous annual leave plus bank holidays Ongoing training and leadership development to support progression Clear progression plan toward Head of Department for the right person Career Progression This is not a “title-only” Senior Associate role.
