Join a forward-thinking and supportive accountancy firm where your professional growth is championed and your contributions truly matter. Our client is seeking a Semi Senior or Senior Accountant to become a key part of their team, based at their modern offices situated near to Kettering.
Please note that this is an office-based role with flexibility for hybrid or remote working in agreed cases.
Duties and responsibilities:
* Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies across diverse sectors
* Producing business and corporation tax computations
* Compiling VAT returns and management accounts
* Handling ad hoc requests and advisory needs
* There maybe some requirement for management accounts
* Liaising directly with clients to gather information and resolve queries
Skills and experience required:
We’re looking for someone who thrives in practice and brings:
* At least 3 years’ experience in a public practice environment with experience of accounting, taxation, management information and statutory compliance
* ACA/ACCA qualification or part-qualified (QBE will also be considered)
* Confidence in communicating directly with clients
* Strong Excel and general IT skills, with sharp attention to detail
* A proactive, flexible approach and the ability to manage multiple tasks
* A full driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites occasionally
Hours of Work
* Hours: 8:30am – 4:30pm, Monday to Friday (½ hour lunch)
