Pay Rate: £13.75 – £14.50 per hour (depending on experience)
A supportive and inclusive primary school in Huyton is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis from October 2025. The role involves working 1:1 with a pupil who has Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), provide individualised support and ensure they have full access to the curriculum.

About the Role:
* Full-time, long-term role starting October 2025
* 1:1 support for a pupil with SEND in a mainstream classroom setting
* Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement EHCP targets
* Supporting learning in core subjects and helping with routine and transitions
* Encouraging independence and promoting emotional regulation
* Assisting with personal care (if required) and ensuring pupil safety and wellbeing
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (required prior to starting)
* Prior experience supporting children with SEND (e.g. ASD, ADHD, speech and language needs, or developmental delays)
* A caring, patient, and adaptable approach to learning support
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to build trust and establish positive relationships with pupils
* A commitment to inclusive education and equal opportunities for all learners
* Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
