An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and dedicated individual to join Eccles Sixth Form College as Deputy Head of Department for Health. We are seeking an experienced and inspiring educator to support the strategic leadership and the continued development of our thriving department.
As Deputy Head of Department, you will work alongside the Head of Department to lead a dynamic team across Health and Social Care, Psychology, and Criminology. You will help drive curriculum innovation, promote outstanding teaching and learning, and support staff in delivering high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire all learners. The ideal candidate will bring strong subject knowledge in at least one of the department’s core areas, with the flexibility and vision to contribute across the broader curriculum. You will be committed to upholding and promoting the college’s core values of respect, integrity, and kindness, ensuring that these values are embedded in the culture and daily life of the department. Through your leadership, you will help to foster a supportive and inclusive environment where both staff and students can thrive.
