We are seeking a dynamic technology leader to join our Azure Platform team as a Sr Architect. This role will be pivotal in building and delivering Azure cloud capabilities and solutions to internal and external clients ensuring the successful transformation of legacy platforms and workloads into robust, scalable, and modern cloud-based workloads and services.
The ideal candidate will bring their deep expertise in Application rationalization, App Migration/Modernization, DevOps and Cloud services architecture, presales, delivery, and operational excellence. You will provide expert level support for strategic ongoing and new TGS customer initiatives. You will work amongst our other key partners to assist in the development of robust cloud offerings and bring holistic solutions across key focus areas of Application Migrations & Modernizations. This role may require up to 50% travel.
Responsibilities:
Azure Platform Strategy and Development:
In this role, you will lead development of Azure Cloud Modernization offerings for customer’s Cloud-native and Cloud-agnostic needs focused on accelerated public cloud adoption. This includes but is not limited to use-cases such as cloud foundations, cloud migration at scale, modern container platforms, infrastructure automation, Azure Cloud services adoption, Azure Cloud security, Azure DevSecOps etc.
Technical Expertise:
You will leverage your in-depth expertise in Azure public cloud platform and its services, staying updated on the latest advancements on tools and services available in the market, and guiding the team in applying best practices to build offering that can be delivered to customer at scale.
Go-to-market Strategy:
You will be responsible for developing and managing Azure Platform capabilities go-to-market strategy and prioritization.
Innovation and Best Practices:
As a leader of the Azure program, you are required to drive innovation and the adoption of best practices in Azure cloud adoption, ensuring our solutions are at the forefront of industry standards.
Azure Platform Sales & Solutioning:
In this role, you will partner with TGS Sales team to engage with TEKsystems customers to understand their technical challenges and provide expert solution and architectural pathways to achieve modernization goals. You will work closely with customer leadership, solution architects and sales to ensure right solution is provided to solve customer needs.
Solution Oversight & Ownership:
As a Azure Sr Architect, you will be responsible for Azure offerings and will be held accountable for providing oversight during presales cycle ensuring alignment with client goals and industry standards.
You will collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements, challenges, and goals related to Application and data modernization, including modernization, automation, and data including AI, and generative AI initiatives.
Solutioning:
As a Azure Sr Architect, you will be responsible for identifying, scoping, and creating solutions/proposals that encompass technical approach and estimates.
You will bring thought leadership, current industry know-how and applied solutions to improve existing service capabilities, engagement and delivery challenges and any research and development activities.
Sales Collaboration:
As a Azure Sr Architect, you will partner with TEKsystems Sales team to provide guidance on GTM strategy and customer communications.
Azure Platform Service Delivery
In this role, you will work closely and lead TEKsystems delivery teams to ensure customer engagements are delivered seamlessly achieving intended business value. You will provide technical direction as required to delivery teams on customer engagement.
Technical Governance & Oversight:
As a Azure Sr Architect, you will be responsible for providing oversight to delivery teams and will play crucial role in managing customer expectations and technical escalations if any.
Provide thought leadership to executive stakeholders in areas of Cloud Enablement, App Migration/Modernization programs & DevOps adoption
Delivery Enablement:
As a Azure Sr Architect, you will establish an operating model for enterprise customers with the combination of standard processes, best practices, and tools to deliver end-to-end applications and infrastructure solutions safely and at velocity
You are expected to lead/Implement cloud-native Microsoft Azure Application Modernization initiatives with software delivery leveraging DevOps, Data Platform and Integration Solutions
Provide recommendations across the Application – Assessments, Rationalization, Migration & Modernization, Devops Spectrum along with leading and evangelizing transformations, and driving innovations
Define Enterprise level Cloud & DevOps standards and best practices in the areas of cloud infrastructure, infrastructure as code, and DevOps toolchain
Provide thought leadership, design and implementation roadmap for Continuous Observability platform to maintain overall services & infrastructure health along with automated remediation and disaster recovery failovers capabilities

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Advanced degrees (Master’s, Ph.D.) are preferred.
Professional Experience:
professional experience in Azure cloud architecture, design and development
experience in Azure Cloud architect and or equivalent roles with experience in leading Azure cloud migration initiatives
Proven experience leading Cloud teams
Azure Cloud Platform and Technology Experience:
Hands-on experience with App Assessments (alongside Microsoft or individually) for large scale migrations and modernizations.
Experience architecting the rehosting or the re-writing the applications across Enterprise – COTS, custom etc.
Strong understanding of microservices and application architecture
Candidate must have subject matter expertise with Azure as Cloud Service Providers. Multi-Cloud experience is a plus
Understanding of Azure platform services, including cloud foundations and Landing Zones, software delivery/DevOps, data and AI services, integration, operations and security technical capabilities, delivery center capabilities, and proof points
Expertise and in-depth knowledge of Azure Services, including Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Storage and Networking
Strong expertise in Continuous Frameworks like Monitoring, Logging, and Security
Experience with Infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Azure ARM
Strong understanding of IT service management (ITSM) frameworks like ITIL
Experience with DevOps tools and deployment patterns
Strong understanding of High Availability and Multi Region Architectures
Proven scripting experience in languages like Python, Go, etc
Deep understanding of Agile methodology
Leadership Skills:
Previous leadership experience in managing and leading cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into architectural solutions
Communication Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
