As a Senior Legal Counsel/Legal Counsel at Siemens Energy, you’ll start your day collaborating with colleagues across the UK and internationally — reviewing high-value contracts, advising on project delivery, and resolving complex legal issues that help drive the UK’s energy transition. Your work will span contract negotiations, risk management, and supporting innovation within the Grid Technologies Business Area. You’ll be a trusted advisor to business leaders, ensuring legal integrity while enabling progress toward a sustainable energy future.
How You’ll Make an Impact
4. Provide proactive, commercially focused legal advice to sales, procurement, and project teams on high-value contracts and related documents.
5. Lead negotiations and support the business through all phases of tenders, project execution, and dispute resolution.
6. Promote collaborative working across Legal & Compliance teams in the UK, Germany, and globally.
7. Support the business in interpreting and applying internal Siemens Energy governance and compliance frameworks.
8. Deliver training to help mitigate legal risks and build commercial awareness within the business.
9. Embrace innovation and digital tools to improve responsiveness and legal service delivery.
What You Bring
10. English law qualified solicitor with proven post-qualification experience in a multinational company or law firm.
11. Strong background in negotiating and drafting commercial, construction, and/or engineering contracts.
12. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex legal concepts clearly.
13. A pragmatic, business-focused mindset and the confidence to provide decisive advice.
14. Collaborative team player with resilience, integrity, and a sense of humour.
15. Willingness to travel within the UK (and occasionally internationally) to support business needs.
