About the Role
We're recruiting an experienced Mechanic to join the team at McKinney Motors in Dungannon. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining, repairing, and assembling a range of vehicles and machinery, ensuring all work is carried out to the highest standards of quality, safety, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
6. Build and assemble machines or mechanical components according to specifications
7. Inspect vehicles, engines, and transmissions, carrying out diagnostic tests to identify and resolve faults
8. Conduct repairs efficiently, ensuring maximum reliability and safety
9. Perform routine and preventative maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems
10. Clean, lubricate, and replenish fluids in engines and mechanical components
11. Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic systems when required
12. Provide advice and guidance on correct maintenance and preventative measures
13. Maintain accurate work logs and report any recurring or major issues
14. Undertake additional duties as required, such as minor bodywork or painting
About You
15. Proven experience as a mechanic, ideally within an automotive or machinery environment
16. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
17. Excellent attention to detail and a proactive approach to work
18. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
19. Must provide own tools
