ROLE OVERVIEW // We are recruiting for a Tax Manager to join the tax team who sit within the Finance Department. You will be working with the head of partnership tax and other members of the tax team and will be responsible for providing tax compliance and advisory services to the partners and the firm. The role is suitable for an individual with previous experience in partnership and personal tax and who will be comfortable with senior stakeholder management. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES // The key responsibilities of this role are set out below and there may be others which are not listed. You may be required on occasion to work outside our normal working hours of 9:30am to 5:30pm. To provide a UK tax compliance and advisory service to the partners Day to day management of a personal tax service including organising tax payments to HMRC Prepare regular technical updates to partners Dealing with HMRC enquiries into partners’ tax affairs Preparation of the partners tax returns Preparation of the partnership tax return Collate information and arrange for tax releases in respect of pension contributions and other tax reliefs Discussions with newly appointed partners and meetings/explanations for retiring partners. Assisting the Global Mobility team with ongoing tax advice and the preparation of the UK tax returns for all secondees. Day to day management of and training junior members of the team Reviewing work prepared by junior members of the team, including tax returns, correspondence and day to day technical matters Ad hoc projects, which are wide ranging given the small size of the team and cover all the tax affairs of the firm and partners CANDIDATE PROFILE // Candidates for this position must have: Fully qualified ATT and CTA professional At least 4/5 years of partnership and personal tax experience Good communication skills as you will be dealing with stakeholders of the firm and HMRC You will be able to demonstrate a deep understanding of the technical issues that are key to the partners and the firm You will have strong experience of working within personal tax and be willing to expand your competencies Ability to prioritise work effectively and meet deadlines Strong attention to detail with methodical and logical approach Good working knowledge of Excel We welcome applications irrespective of race, colour, ethnic or national origin, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age, religion, belief or marital status.
