About the role

We’re currently looking for two committed individuals to join our friendly and supportive team at Stockton‑on‑Tees Borough Council as School Crossing Patrol Wardens. In this important role, you’ll help children and parents cross the road safely on their journey to and from school. You’ll work weekday mornings and afternoons during term time, providing a vital service to the local community.


Details of the post on offer are as follows:


Norton Primary – Berkshire Road

* Contracted Hours – 10.00
* Term Time only & 2 days (8:00‑9:00 / 2:30‑3:30)
* Pro rata £6,701.62 (£24,796 FTE)


Roseberry Primary School – The Causeway

* Contracted Hours – 10.00
* Term Time only & 2 days (8:00‑9:00 / 2:30‑3:30)
* Pro rata £6,701.62 (£24,796 FTE)


Requirements

We will provide you with the basic training, all you need to be a success is:

* Good verbal communication skills to enable you to communicate effectively with the general public
* Ability to work using your own initiative
* Enjoy working outdoors
* As the role involves working with children, you will also need to undergo an Enhanced DBS check.

Please note this post is Part Time, Term Time only plus 2 training days.
