Daily Responsibilities:
1. Deliver high-quality end-to-end designs for web and mobile applications that are simple and intuitive.
2. Ideate on short to medium term design and product strategies alongside the product team.
3. Present thoughtful design solutions to product teams, articulating your design rationale effectively.
4. Provide day-to-day mentorship to other designers, helping them navigate design challenges and grow in their roles.
5. Ensure all designs adhere to RBC’s accessibility guidelines, creating inclusive experiences for all RBC employees.
6. Promote the use of a design system amongst designers, developers and other participants.
7. Collaborate with product managers, UX researchers, and engineers to align designs with business goals and user needs.
8. Learn, adapt and introduce new design methodologies, tools, and trends.

Must-have Skills/Experiences
14. Deep knowledge in 2-3 key areas: building complex user flows, visual design, accessible and inclusive design, responsive design, design systems, strategic product thinking, information architecture and/or growth design.
15. A minimum of 3 years of experience in designing interfaces across web and mobile apps.
16. A portfolio showcasing UI/UX design work and problem solving skills.
17. Fluency in Figma and prototyping tools
18. Strong understanding of design principles (user-centered design, visual hierarchy, interaction design).
19. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
20. Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously..
21. A keen eye for detail and a passion for creating high-quality work.
Nice-to-have Skills/Experience
22. Experience working on internal tools or enterprise-level products.
23. Experience working with design systems.
24. Familiarity with UX research methods and integrating insights to shape design decisions.
25. Experience with UX writing or copywriting.
