Job responsibilities
Clinical/Service Specific Responsibilities
* In accordance with the practice timetable, the post-holder will make themselves available to undertake duties including surgery consultations, telephone/video consultations, paperwork, and correspondence in a timely fashion.
* Making professional, autonomous decisions regarding presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other healthcare workers within practice or external organizations.
* Assessing the healthcare needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.
* Effectively managing own time, workload, and resources.
* Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness.
* Screening patients for health education.
* Developing care plans for health in consultation with patients and in line with current practice disease management protocols.
* Admitting or discharging patients to and from the caseload and referring to other care providers as appropriate.
* Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes to agreed standards.
* Collecting data for audit purposes and contributing to the practice audit as required.
* Contributing to QOF and PCN requirements and recording data appropriately.
* Contributing to the development and implementation of new standards, policies, and procedures required of GP practices now and in the future.
* Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions.
* Prescribing in accordance with the practice prescribing formulary (or generically) whenever clinically appropriate and reviewing as required.
* Contributing to the development of high-quality computer-based and paper-light patient records.
* Participating in CQC visits.

Qualifications
* MBBS or equivalent medical degree
* Enhanced DBS Check
* GMC Registered
* Inclusion on the Performers List
* Medical Indemnity
* Willing to complete appropriate training for appraisal and stay up to date with GP appraisal, re-licensing, and revalidation.
* Valid UK Driver's License
Experience
* Experience with British Healthcare and Primary Care System
* Experience working in primary care

* Excellent communication skills including verbal, written, face-to-face, and active listening skills
