An entry point role within the Estimating and Preconstruction field is newly available with our Southampton based client. This role provides a structured opportunity to develop your career into an Estimator or Contract Supervision role as your skills, experience and knowledge progress. Ideally you will have a back ground in construction or civil engineering as you will need to be able to understand the technical side of the role from day one. This is a very niche role within a specific industry, so expect a steep learning curve! You will need to be able to absorb information, be hard working and quick to learn. The role itself with be supporting the Senior Estimator for a company providing cutting-edge solutions to clients worldwide on anything from small-scale repairs to large infrastructure projects within the civil engineering industry. You will be: Able to interpret and understand clients’ requirements Confident in reading and interpreting engineering drawings A good communicator as you will be interacting with clients and colleagues at all levels Used to working under pressure and to deadlines Utilising your strong numerical and analytical skills as well as your proficiency with Microsoft Office.
