Job Title: Singing Teacher – Casual
Grade: £30 per hour
Hours: Casual contract; maximum 5 hours per week
Accountable to: Subject Leader for Music

Role:
You will deliver individual/small group singing lessons to students across the academy. You will generate an enthusiasm for singing with students, supporting the music departments’ curriculum and vision.
Purpose of job
1. Teach a maximum of 5 hours per week in term time over 33 weeks.
2. Deliver singing lessons to Key Stage 3 students in small groups.
3. Deliver singing lessons to Key Stage 4 students, liaising with the Subject Leader for Music to cover the requirements of the Key Stage 4 music course.
4. Structure lessons to support development of technique, repertoire and vocal confidence.
5. Monitor student attendance and progress, completing weekly registers and termly reports.
6. Prepare resources such as sheet music/lyric sheets or backing tracks so students can practice at home.
7. To guide and encourage students to complete appropriate singing exams where applicable.
