Level 3 Trainee Accountant

Why this role matters
You’ll be at the heart of producing critical regulatory reports (Solvency UK / II FCA) and supporting our actuarial and finance teams with accurate timely analysis. Your work will help ensure compliance, strengthen decision‑making and maintain the integrity of our financial systems.
What you’ll do
* Deliver Solvency UK / II reporting including qualitative templates and the Solvency Financial Condition Report
* Provide analysis for actuarial surplus reviews
* Maintain and manage the reporting timetable, collaborating across finance and actuarial teams
* Prepare quarterly, half‑yearly and annual FCA and MiFID returns
* Produce monthly Capital Management analysis for subsidiary companies
* Support year‑end audits when required
* Partner with the Deputy Group Financial Controller and wider team to meet key objectives
* Contribute to broader finance initiatives and process improvements
Qualifications
* Final stage CIMA or ACCA studies
* Strong communication and organisational skills
* Ability to meet tight deadlines with exceptional attention to detail
* A proactive, adaptable and positive mindset
* Solid analytical and problem‑solving skills
* Financial services experience and technical accounting knowledge
* Confident user of Excel (including advanced formulas) and PowerPoint
