Hello, Tom here! I’ve been a dev, tech lead, designer and now owner of Carefully Coded for the last 3 years designing and building systems for everything from cargo X-ray training, online background checks, payment terminals, health apps and live object detection for xray machines. I started Carefully Coded to build interesting software for companies that want something well built and ‘Carefully Coded’.
After working at an agency during uni that built software, let’s say ‘less than perfectly’. It turns out, making software that IS well designed (UI and otherwise) is quite popular!
I’ve outgrown the work and am looking for someone to help out!
Ideally you’d have at least some experience with a couple/few of these technologies:
- React (very useful!)
- React Native
- Go
- Postgres
- Node
- AWS (lots of different services, mainly Elastic Beanstalk, RDS, Lambda, EC2, Cloudfront, Cloudwatch and Route 53)
- Git (Gitlab especially the CI side)
My development process always starts with a discussion with the client (all lovely people!), then designs, then on to the build! I would love for you to be a part of every step in that chain - getting to know the clients and the development process from start to finish (CI, Designs, build, infrastructure etc).
I’m ideally looking for someone for around 15 - 25 hours / week at £18/hour (depending on project demand). And it would be ideal if you could start in the next few weeks!
Being based in or around York would also be helpful.
