Job Title: Senior Care Assistant (Nights) Location: Cwmbran Salary: £23,169 per annum Contract Type: Full-time, Night Shifts Make a Difference While the World Sleeps Are you an experienced care professional looking to lead through the night? We're looking for a Senior Care Assistant to join our dedicated team in Cwmbran, supporting residents through overnight care with compassion, dignity, and professionalism. About the Role: As a Senior Care Assistant on nights, you'll play a key part in delivering high-quality care, ensuring comfort, safety, and wellbeing while residents rest. You'll support night-time routines, manage medication (as authorised), and be a calm, reassuring presence. Working closely with the Home Management, you'll also supervise night staff and help maintain accurate records and handover details. Your Responsibilities Will Include: Providing physical and emotional care during overnight hours Monitoring residents' conditions and safety Administering and recording medications (as authorised) Completing care documentation and charts Supporting toileting and mobility needs with dignity and respect Acting as a Keyworker and maintaining homely environments Supervising and supporting night care colleagues Liaising with on-call staff or emergency services if needed What We're Looking For: NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (essential) NVQ Level 3 or willingness to work towards it (desirable) Previous experience in a care setting (particularly with older adults) Strong communication and leadership skills Compassion, reliability, and an organised approach Ability to work independently and as part of a team A practical understanding of night-time care practices Why Join Us?
