Trainee Logistics AdministratorColnbrook, Berkshire£23,000 – £24,000 per annumDue to the location, own transport is essentialLooking to start your career in logistics and freight forwarding?We’re offering a fantastic opportunity for a Trainee Import Clerk to join our busy and friendly team in Colnbrook. This is a great entry-level role for someone eager to learn the ins and outs of international logistics.What you'll be doing:
* Answering phones and liaising with customers
* Arranging airline collections and deliveries
* Planning import routings and overseas collections
* Preparing import-rated airwaybills and simple quotations
* Checking import licences, tariffs, CPC codes, and customs authorisations
* Filing documentation and assisting with occasional invoicing
* Supporting customs entries using ASM/Gems/Sequoia
* Assisting with customs post-entry submissions and reclaims
What we’re looking for:
* A confident communicator with good phone manner
* Organised, reliable and eager to learn
* Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook
* Strong attention to detail and good judgement
* Any experience with customs entries or import classification is a plus – but not essential. Training will be provided
