GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Cover Supervisor to work across schools in Derby. As a CS, this role is ideal for graduates, aspiring teachers, or experienced school support staff looking to gain valuable classroom experience. Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor: Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment. Deliver pre-planned lesson materials to students across a range of subjects. Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies. Support students to remain focused and engaged with their work. Provide feedback to teaching staff on lesson progress and student participation. Requirements for Cover Supervisor: Previous experience in a school setting is desirable but not essential. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Confidence to deliver pre-prepared lessons to whole classes. A proactive and flexible approach to working in different school environments. A valid, enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one. A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history where possible, with all gaps explained.
