Administration Assistant (Fixed Term Contract 6 Months)
Location: The Meadows Care Home, Didcot, Oxfordshire
Pay Rate: £13.79 Per Hour (NVQ & Weekend Enhancements Available)
Contracted Hours: 37.50 hours per week
Shift Pattern: 8:30am - 5:00pm Monday-Friday
Responsibilities
* Support the Home Manager with a full range of reception, administrative and basic finance activities to ensure the Home runs smoothly.
* Often the first point of contact for enquiries, demonstrating a professional and welcoming manner to all those who visit, live and work in our homes.
* Ensure that all visitors follow the infection control rules in force at any given time, and take the lead on coordinating any testing requirements, organising couriers and associated administrative tasks.
* Assist with the planning and management of events that take place in the home, including celebrating residents' milestone birthdays, fetes, employee presentations or other activities planned by our Activities Coordinator.
* Work alongside other team members who are passionate about providing a safe environment, as well as warmth and kindness to all those who live and work in our homes.
* Situated in a quiet and residential street near Didcot town centre; The Meadows offers compassionate, individualised residential, early-stage dementia and nursing care for up to 68 residents in a welcoming, friendly and cosy environment.

About You
* You will have previous experience from an administrative or reception job and confident using Microsoft Office.
* In addition, you'll have experience of handling cash and keeping reports up to date.
* Ideally you will have your Maths and English to GCSE level. But most importantly you will be comfortable in an elderly care setting, able to relate to our residents in a caring and sensitive manner.
* This is a busy and varied role, so you'll need to be efficient and organised and happy to use your initiative to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner. And as the first person who many of our visitors will speak to or see, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
