HGV Technician Needed in Coventry
1. Coventry
2. Salary: Up to £19.50 per hour
3. Rotating shift Monday-Friday 06:00-14:00/14:00-22:00
4. Alternate Saturdays paid at overtime
Responsibilities as a HGV Technician:
5. Ensure vehicle repairs are carried out to the highest standard according to manufacturer’s procedures, safely and responsibly.
6. Assist in fault diagnosis and comply with warranty procedures during repairs.
7. Work with the Parts Team to ensure correct replacement parts are fitted.
8. Road test vehicles when required (if you hold an HGV license).
9. Assist with roadside breakdowns and Action Service Europe.
10. Ensure service sheets are completed as per Volvo instructions.
11. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workshop facilities, equipment, and tools.
12. Support the development of young trainees and apprentices.
Requirements for this HGV Technician role:
13. City and Guilds, NVQ3, or an equivalent qualification.
14. Basic knowledge of computer software packages including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
15. Basic working knowledge of vehicle technology.
16. Superior workmanship, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently and effectively.
