Bookkeeper – Edinburgh | Hybrid | £28,000 – £30,000 (DOE) Permanent We’re working with a well-established and growing business in Edinburgh that's looking to bring a capable and detail-driven Bookkeeper into their team. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a flexible working environment and knows their way around a VAT return like the back of their hand. What You’ll Be Doing: Managing day-to-day bookkeeping tasks across multiple accounts Preparing and submitting VAT returns (you’ll need to be comfortable doing this independently) Handling bank reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, and cash flow management Supporting with month-end processes and liaising with the external accountant when needed Potential for involvement in payroll or management accounts depending on experience What We’re Looking For: Proven bookkeeping experience (either in-house or within a practice setting) Solid working knowledge of Xero – ideally with certification Confident in preparing VAT returns independently and accurately Someone who’s organised, proactive, and comfortable juggling a varied workload A strong communicator who can work well both remotely and in-office when needed Why This Role?
