We are seeking an accomplished Head of Marketing to lead the strategy and execution for two of our flagship B2B exhibitions and digital community. This senior leadership role sits at the heart of our division, shaping brand narratives, driving audience acquisition, and delivering measurable growth across all marketing channels.
Reporting directly to the Divisional Director, you will oversee a high-performing team of three—including campaign delivery specialists and a content producer—and take ownership of strategy, brand, content, and digital marketing initiatives, such as our AI-powered newsletter.
You’ll collaborate closely with sales and operations to ensure that marketing activity builds awareness, drives attendance, and delivers tangible ROI. Key Responsibilities
 * Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement integrated marketing strategies across digital, social, partnerships, PR, and on-site activations.
 * Audience Growth: Drive attendance and engagement from key industry audiences, fostering community growth and participation.
 * Campaign Performance: Analyse data, measure ROI, and adapt campaigns in real time to ensure continuous optimisation.
 * Budget Management: Manage and optimise marketing budgets to deliver efficiency and measurable returns.
 * Brand Stewardship: Protect and elevate brand positioning and messaging across exhibitions, conferences, and digital platforms.
 * Innovation: Champion new tools, channels, and creative approaches—including compliant use of AI—to keep campaigns competitive. Oversee the ongoing evolution of Construction Buzz, ensuring engaging, data-informed content and growing readership.
 * Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of three, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
 * Conference Strategy: Collaborate with the Content Producer on conference production strategy, agenda development, speaker marketing, and audience engagement.
 * Commercial Support: Partner with sales to deliver effective sponsor and partner marketing campaigns and collateral.
 * Partnerships: Identify and activate strategic partnerships and media collaborations to enhance brand reach.
Skills & Experience
 * 8+ years’ experience marketing large-scale B2B events, exhibitions, or conferences.
 * Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to link marketing performance directly to sales and revenue.
 * Proven success in developing and executing integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns.
 * Expertise in digital marketing, including email automation, audience segmentation, user journey optimisation, and content-led engagement.
 * Exceptional copywriting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
 * Demonstrated ability to lead, inspire, and develop teams.
 * Confident using data and analytics to drive decisions while maintaining creative excellence.
 * Resilient, adaptable, and thrives in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
