Main duties
As a Senior Care Assistant, your primary focus will be to support the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors, and staff. You will monitor the wellbeing of each resident, be involved in person-centered care planning, support residents with their medication requirements, and undertake staff supervisions. You will also act as a key point of contact for residents, their relatives, and healthcare professionals, ensuring reasonable requests are addressed and concerns or complaints are escalated.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Your focus as a Senior Care Assistant will be to support and work alongside the Care team to deliver high standards of personal care, providing a safe, caring, innovative, open, supportive, and inclusive environment for residents, visitors and staff.
Other responsibilities will include:
* Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, awareness of changes impacting care and care plans, ensuring new needs are met, and written records reflect any variation.
* Being involved in the person-centred care planning process, implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
* Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
* Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development.
* Acting as a key point of contact for residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals, ensuring reasonable requests are acted upon and concerns or complaints are escalated.

Our ideal candidate must:
* Have an NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes.
* Have 2 years of experience working in a similar care environment.
* Have the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
* Have a positive attitude to supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
* Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
